Good day to whoever is reading! I'm here to share my experience of presenting on the 6th session of Digital Literacy with my fellow tech girl Sage(a.k.a Sarangerel). The topic was "Communication, Collaboration and Participation" and we presented alongside Alex, Peace Corps' volunteer, and Javkhlan, CEO of Mogul Consulting Service LLC.
We tried to cover the following sub topics: Effective Online Communication, Virtual Collaboration Tools, Digital Charades or Pictionary.
✧ As for Effective Online Communication, we demonstrated how to set Facebook Messenger ChatBot in an easy way. Anyone can do it without the need of coding experience. We suggest using ChatFuel. ✧ On the subject of Virtual Collaboration Tools, we highly recommend TeamViewer! It allows you to assist customers remotely, work with colleagues from a distance, stay connected with your own devices, or assist friends and family members. It really comes in handy when 'someone far away' needs a help with technical or any issues on their computer or device, you can access to their device from your own and from wherever you are. Or even when 'you' need help from someone who is not with you! On top of that, It's free of charge for non-commercial use.
✧ We suggest Skribbl.io regarding Digital Charades or Pictionary. Try playing it with your team members/colleagues to bond with them or just to refresh your mind after working too long! Skribbl.io is a free online game where players can demonstrate their ability to draw and guess words. This game can be played with a group of people or with strangers from all over the world. Skribbl.io is a fun challenge to show off your artistic and vocabulary abilities.
Giving away tips for who needs:
๑ I know it's a cliche but try to think outside the box and be more creative! In our case, we did the credit slide like actual movie credit scene. It's hilarious because we gave all the credits to ourselves like:
… and it flows like real movie credit scene. This little thing made everyone laugh. So let people entertained!
๑ After a knowledge sharing session, a small interactive activity will make it more lively. We prepared a Kahoot Quiz, challenging people with the new information they got from our presentation. Also we didn't forgot to include silly questions like what are our names?(Anujin Sarangerel, Anugerel Saranjin, Angelica Savannah etc:p )
๑ Make sure you rehearse at least one time(preferably 3 times) like it's official. Don't let technical difficulties interrupt your pro presenter moments:^
At last, we learned a lot through the day not only from making, preparing and delivering our presentation but also from other presenters. I like the idea of presenting in front of others develop the presenter(s) and the audience at the same time.
