Dear YOUTHinc Members and Supporters,
YOUTHinc, the Young Mongolian Professionals Association, is building a community for both youth and employers to workout (work, learn, develop) together. Accordingly we work closely with UN Entities in Mongolia promoting SDGs in the changing world of work.
Therefore we are pleased to extend an invitation to you to join the Technical Committee responsible for reviewing the upcoming Human Development Paper with a focus on Just Energy Transition. Through this technical committee, we seek to gather diverse perspectives and expertise to ensure the quality and relevance of our research. The first draft of the paper will be available early next week. We would like to have your views and comments on the paper and validate its key findings and messages it would carry.
As you are aware, Mongolia is currently facing unprecedented challenges related to climate change, energy access, air pollution and social equity. Achieving a just energy transition is paramount in addressing these challenges while ensuring no one is left behind. The Human Development Paper aims to provide comprehensive insights, policy recommendations, and actionable strategies to guide policymakers, stakeholders, and communities in this critical endeavor.
YOUTHinc is invited to nominate a suitable representative from our organization who can participate.
As a technical committee member, you will be:
- Reviewing and providing feedback on the draft of the paper, with a focus on validating the accuracy and relevance
- Offering strategic guidance and report’s policy recommendations to ensure that it feeds into policy discourse at several levels.
Time commitment:
- Reviewing and providing feedback on the draft of the paper. The paper is expected to be around 40-50 pages in length. First draft review between September 25 – October 2 and second draft review October 9-16.
- Participating Validation session scheduled for 14:00 on October 10, 2023 at UN House
We also extend a warm invitation for you to join us at the official launch, scheduled for December 2023.
