On July 15th I decided to embark myself on the tech industry and know what it is like to work in the fast-paced technology industry. With the basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript coding abilities I applied to the Empowering Girls in Tech program. After successfully navigating the three stages of the admission process I was accepted to this rigorous program to enhance both of my hard and soft skills.
The first meeting we had in Hub Innovation was empowering, and we were divided into a team to manage different plugins. I vividly recall my first experience of receiving my task and naively thinking I could complete it in a minute. However, it turned out to be more challenging than I anticipated as it required a Business Analyst’s perspective to improve the plugin. Upon presenting my findings on the first task, Naran the COO of ERXES XOS suggested enhancing my report by exploring ways to improve the plugin through the user interface experience. This led me to research more about the competing tech software companies by keeping up with the latest technology.

While honing my hard skills with ERXES XOS, I also engaged in various knowledge-sharing sessions facilitated by YOUTHinc. Guest speakers, notably Mandal, the CEO of Hello Baby application, left a lasting impact. Her talk inspired me to shift my focus from 'What' to 'Why” by prompting the question behind the passion. Why am I doing this, why do I want to contribute? This shift in perspective broadened my worldview, urging me to question the underlying motivations. Furthermore, through the Digital Literacy sessions, I had an opportunity to meet with diverse groups of people where I was exposed to different viewpoints that broadened my understanding of digital literacy, which I am planning to share my knowledge on November 18th.

Additionally, I seized the opportunity to participate in the Hackathon for Decent Work guided by Ch. Baljinnyam, the CEO of YOUTHinc. I documented my entire experience in a blog post, not only acquiring new skills and knowledge but also benefiting from mentorship by B. Altantsetseg, the renowned CEO of NRCC. This exposure motivated me to delve deeper into the intersection of technology and social science.

After the Hackathon experience, the donor's event came through with a broad number of Donors. Within the community of influential minds, I wrote about this experience in another one of my blog posts. Following the Hackathon, the donor's event unfolded, bringing together a diverse array of influential minds. I recorded this experience in another blog post, further forming my understanding of the community's dynamics.

Overall, an initial plan of embarking on the technology industry and increasing my hard skills, led me to unexpected and transformative experiences. Not only that, but through YOUTHinc I formed a community with a diverse group of people who share the same goal which is to impact the world with a greater good. Being within that community not only was I exposed to different viewpoints which challenged my beliefs, but through a collaborative discussion, I was able to form innovative ideas.
These encounters played a pivotal role in shaping my identity and uncovering my true aspiration: to be someone who contributes to society through the fusion of technology and design, leveraging my passions and skills.
