Everything began when I applied to the “Marketing Internship”, and our first task was to prepare and overcome this event. Organized into five teams, our mandate was to conceptualize an innovative approach to decorate our designated station which would reflect not only our project and organization but also us, the personas who take part in these internships.
The first thing I noticed is that everyone in my team were bright individuals who passionately pursued their dreams and goals. That being so, frankly, I was very motivated to work with them. :D

That day our team decided to gather early to discuss about our ideas which were subsequently presented to the other teams. After collecting and brainstorming on suggestions of each team, we estimated to present comics, Christmas tree-like photo section and the introduction of the ‘Youthinc’ ornamented with the little light bulbs.

My role in the preparatory phase was to make eye-catching and inspirational stickers that would represent the ethos of 'Youthinc' and its distinctive opportunities—a task not without its challenges, yet an overall enjoyable process that underscored the collaborative spirit of our team.

As follows, the day X had started. Many influential people have been arriving to the Meeting ran by the ILO. Assigned roles by our leader, mine involved delivering an explanation of internship’s inner workings by showing them pictures.
Admittedly, nerves got the better of me during my speech, resulting in a few stutters. However, the supportive intervention of a senior colleague smoothed out the rough edges of my presentation.
Inspired by the quote “Mistakes are to be learned from” by Gwen Stapleton, I didn’t get hung up. Instead, I started correcting them, as repeating lines and adapting in real-time facilitated a smoother presentation. And as for me, I have gained a new important skill.

Upon reflection, this engagement stands as a testament to not only overcoming challenges but transforming them into stepping stones towards personal and professional growth. The “Donor's Meeting” proved to be a truly remarkable experience, one that has enriched my skill set and left an indelible mark on my journey.
