Baljaa Chinzorigt, Founder & CEO of YOUTH INC. gave an interview for the New Generation Program 2020. She recalled her memories about the trip to Russia attending the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) at the first-ever 'Friends for Leadership' event in June 2019 and explained how her project 'Bridging the Gap' has now grown into the 'Youth Inc.' organization that works to address the skills mismatch and connect the youth with prospective employers.
'It was my pleasure to participate in the New Generation as one of the 42 delegates from over 30 countries and take part in the Friends for Leadership session within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum,' the participant from Mongolia says. 'Throughout the forum, we had a chance to discuss the current international youth agenda and presented our initiatives in different fields.'
'The goal is to do it by increasing professional competencies of the youth and acquire needed skills in real working conditions. Thus, allowing the youth to enter the labor market prepared and assist them in the future,' she explains. 'Currently, YOUTH INC. Brand New Office & Development Center in Mongolia is under construction and will be launching very soon!'
According to Baljaa, the project has already attracted international interest. It was presented at the UN Headquarters in New York, the International Labor Conference in Geneva, and the Global Youth Employment Forum in Nigeria. 'This year, we have also contributed to a research project of the Maastricht University of the Netherlands commissioned by DECP (Dutch Employers Cooperation Programme) on bridging the skills gap,' she adds.
