I never really thought of my personal goal as SMART, but I realized that the more detailed my planning, the easier it was to reach success. That’s why I created a specific plan and started working toward my goal little by little each day.

The people who don't know what a SMART goal is, in the picture below you can see the definition of the word SMART.

As I mentioned to you or as everyone know that, I really want to study in South Korea. So, let me introduce my plan to achieve this goal.

S- I want to improve my Korean language. (reading, listening and speaking)M- I will give TOPIK on April, 2025 to achieve Level 3 or 4 within the next 4 months by studying for two hours each day and taking monthly practice tests to track my progress.A- I will read one Korean short story every week to improve my reading skills. OR I will listen every day 1 conversation, podcast in Korean language.R- Since I plan to study at a Korean university, I will focus on academic vocabulary and improve my listening skills to understand lectures in Korean. I’ll prioritize learning words and phrases commonly used in academic settings, aiming to master at least 200 academic terms in the next six months.T- I will reach TOPIK 6 by July 2025 by taking a Mock Test for two hour each day.

A goal I achieved for myself was successfully passing the beginner level of the TOPIK exam and obtaining the required score. To reach this goal, I studied consistently every day, using various study materials and video lessons to prepare thoroughly. Using SMART goals helps you stay motivated, maintain focus, and effectively monitor your progress along the way.
