On November 7th, the Empowering Girls in Tech Hackathon finally connected with its donors. As a member of the YOUTHinc’s Empowering Girls in Tech internship, I took the decision to contribute to the Donors' meeting for the Empowering Girls in Tech project's hackathon team. The motivation behind my involvement was rooted in the idea that my contribution could raise awareness about gender imbalances and assist girls facing similar challenges. By supporting this cause, I aimed to provide tech- girls with expanded opportunities to excel in their field.

Given our tight schedule, we had to act quickly, dividing tasks and executing them to the best of our abilities within a three-day timeframe. My assigned role was to create an augmented reality (AR) business card, set up the QR code for the comic, and ensure seamless functionality. Despite encountering a few setbacks, we successfully completed various tasks through collaborative efforts with marketing interns and tech-minded girls, including stickers, business cards, digital comics, and decor.

With all preparations finalized, the pivotal moment arrived: explaining our project to the donors. We divided the presentation into three parts, each responsible for presenting a segment. I led the first part alongside Baljaa, the CEO of YOUTHinc. My task was to elucidate the business card we had crafted, showcasing our digital and soft skills. After rehearsing the explanation six times, I noticed a marked improvement in my ability to articulate the explanation.

Networking with donors and being surrounded by influential minds revealed tremendous possibilities for growth. It was truly an eye-opening experience. Recognizing the vast knowledge and insights available, I realized there is much more for me to learn as an Empowering Girls in Tech advocate. My willingness to commit to empowering my peers through my experiences was strengthened, acknowledging the continuous journey of learning and growth ahead.
